Barrett REC 7 Gen II is a new designed combat rifle. Barrett's vision was to achieve an impressive appearance use of the latest

solutions, reducing the amount of parts to minimum and to refine the piston system for simpler use.

The final effect is remarkable and it is possible to say that the project met all expectations. Certainly this is not another clone of AR type. Presented model is SBR version (short barreled rifle) with barrel of 9.25".

There were used new, lighter solutions of the rail of Key-Mod type. It was shaped in order to get the maximum ergonomics of handle. The rail has holes for quick assembly of the belt.

Checked already in the first generation solution of piston reloading system was even more refined and an easy access to the piston was obtained, thus it's easy to disassembly. Piston solution greatly improves the efficiency of rifle, because it does not get dirty and does not heat the cartridge chamber compared to gas system, which exactly these two points are the greatest shortcoming. The piston system of Barrett Company doesn't cause additional recoil of the barrel; hence this rifle becomes the number one amongst platforms of AR type.
