Trijicon MRO (Miniature Rifle Optics) is the latest optics of this producer for contemporary Warrior. It looks like the Trijicon Company strongly aims to beat the competition i.e. Aimpoint Micro and Eotech EXPS. The lens with size of 25 mm gives record-breaking angle of view of about 44% larger than other companies.
MRO is a product completely American and produced only in the United States about which systematically the company recalls. The project provided supplementing the scope, which wasn't filled by other companies with leading manufacturers of the optics of Red Dot type. The main objective is larger lens than Aimpoint, battery life for a few years, casing-size smaller than Eotech. In short, the goal is to collect the best reviews than the competition and to include all in their product.
The short casing and enlarged lens are a perfect solution for fast target capture, at the same time providing wide field of view. Spot of size 2 MOA is an optimal solution and already Aimpoint managed to prove it. MRO has 8 levels of setting the brightness of the spot, including 2 levels for night vision and one called super-bright, to this last setting the producer didn't present detailed description, but it is possible to guess that it has super brightness. In daily setting, the standard operation of one battery CR2032 enables 5 years of continuous work without turning off; hence one of objectives was achieved.
Setting knob is on the upper part of casing to provide easy access for right and left-handed users. Device casing is made of aluminum used in aviation and military, this is not a standard 6061, but 7075 i.e. 80% stronger than the competition. This casing is covered with a waterproof rubber coating, which gives a very strong tightness and exceptional durability. It resembles the highest shelf of optics of this company ACOG model, so we can be sure of its reliability.
